Meet Bea, your maths companion.
A little encouragement, every step of the way.

11+ preparation is stressful, expensive and hard to judge

Tutoring adds up

Specialist 11+ tutors typically charge £28 to £55 an hour, and more in London and the south east.

Scores, not reasons

Practice books show a mark, but not why a child got a question wrong or what to do next.

It feels like homework

Children avoid long practice papers, and parents end up nagging instead of helping.

Practice, insight, progress

1. Find the starting point

A short placement check finds the right level for each child.

2. Practise little and often

Short 10-question rounds that adapt to each child, with stars, levels, streaks and badges to celebrate progress.

3. See what to fix

Every wrong answer is linked to the mistake behind it, so parents get specific advice, not just a score.

For children

  • Practice that adapts: more questions on their weakest topics, at the right level for their school year
  • Instant feedback and short worked solutions a 9-year-old can follow
  • Bea the bee, plus stars, levels, streaks and badges to keep them coming back
  • Their own progress only, never a public leaderboard

For parents

  • Ask the AI insight about your child's results and get answers in plain English
  • Score by topic, mistake patterns with what to try next, and recent rounds
  • Free Learn pages with cheat sheets and short lessons for all 10 topics
"Often stops one step early on multi-step word problems. Try asking: what does the question want at the end?"

Every question is checked, every mistake is understood

A curriculum built for the 11+, mapped to the KS2 National Curriculum.

105skills
10strands
5difficulty levels
100%answers checked by code
  • Every wrong option is tagged with the misconception behind it, such as "stopped one step early" or "treated an hour as 100 minutes"
  • Five levels, from Year 3 foundations to independent-school challenge
  • All questions are original, and every answer is checked by code; a UK maths reviewer will check them all before launch
  • UK spelling, pounds and pence, metric units and 24-hour time throughout

How we use AI

Eleven Plus Bee is built with Claude, Anthropic's AI model. Claude helps us draft original practice questions, which are checked by code now and will be checked by a human reviewer before launch. The AI insight turns each child's answers into clear, specific advice for parents: it uses Claude for real families, and Google Gemini while we test with made-up data.

Children never chat with an AI, and their data is never used to train AI models.

Safety and privacy

  • Designed to the ICO Children's Code
  • Parent-owned accounts, with no messaging between children or with strangers
  • No adverts and minimal data collection
  • A UK startup, built in London

Frequently asked questions

What is Eleven Plus Bee?

Fun, game-like 11+ Maths practice for children, with AI insight that shows parents which skills need work and why. It is made by a small UK startup in London and is in a free beta.

Who is it for?

Children aged 7 to 11 (Year 3 to Year 6) who are preparing for the 11+ Maths papers, and their parents.

Is it free, and how do I join?

It is free for founding families during the beta, and no card is needed. Fill in the short form below with your first name, email and your child's school year, or email hello@elevenplusbee.com. You can also try 10 questions now without signing up. After launch we plan a simple monthly subscription, at well under the cost of one hour of tutoring.

Which 11+ exams does it help with?

It covers 11+ Maths: 105 skills across 10 topics, mapped to the KS2 National Curriculum, at five levels from Year 3 foundations to independent-school challenge. It is general 11+ Maths practice rather than practice for one exam board, and every question is original. It is Maths only for now; English, then Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning, are planned for later.

How does the AI help parents?

The AI insight is for parents only. In the parent area you can ask about your child's results and get answers in plain English. It receives only a summary of that child's practice results, such as their nickname, school year, scores and mistake patterns, and never your email address or contact details. Children never chat with an AI, and their data is never used to train AI models.

Is my child's data safe?

Eleven Plus Bee is designed to the ICO Children's Code. Accounts belong to parents, there is no messaging between children or with strangers, no adverts and minimal data collection. We set one essential cookie, only to keep a parent signed in, and you can delete a child's data at any time from the parent area. Read our privacy notice for the details.

Do I need to sit with my child?

No. Once you have added your child in the parent area, they can practise on their own in short 10-question rounds with instant feedback and worked solutions. Starting practice puts the device in child mode, and your parent PIN is needed to get back to the parent area. There you can see their scores by topic, mistake patterns and recent rounds.
