Frequently asked questions
What is Eleven Plus Bee?
11+ Maths practice for children, with worked explanations after every answer, and progress insight for parents, including a parent-only AI that helps you decide what to practise next. It is made by a small UK startup in London and is in a free beta.
Who is it for?
Children aged 7 to 11 (Year 3 to Year 6) who are preparing for the 11+ Maths papers, and their parents.
Is it free, and how do I join?
It is free during the beta, with no card needed. Create a free account to add your child and start practising, or try 10 questions without an account. After launch we plan a monthly subscription; the price is not set yet.
Which 11+ exams does it help with?
It covers 11+ Maths: 105 skills across 10 topics, mapped to the KS2 National Curriculum, at five levels from Year 3 foundations to independent-school challenge. It is general 11+ Maths practice rather than practice for one exam board, and every question is original. There are also free Learn pages and revision sheets for every topic.
Which subjects are coming next?
Maths is available now. English, Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning and 1:1 Tuition are coming soon; we have not set launch dates yet.
How does the AI help parents?
The AI insight is optional and for parents only. It stays off until you opt in to AI sharing separately for each child. Choose from set Maths questions to understand what is going well and what to focus on next, using a summary of your child's practice results. There is no free-text AI question box. We do not send your child's saved nickname, your email address or contact details. You can turn AI off at any time and still use practice and results. Children never chat with an AI, and their data is never used to train AI models. The insight uses Claude, Anthropic's AI model, for real families, and Google Gemini while we test with made-up data. Claude also helps us draft original questions, which are checked by code.
Is my child's data safe?
Eleven Plus Bee is designed to the ICO Children's Code. Accounts belong to parents, there is no messaging between children or with strangers, no adverts and minimal data collection. We only set essential cookies, to keep a parent signed in, and you can delete a child's data at any time from the parent area. Read our privacy notice for the details.
Do I need to sit with my child?
No. Once you have added your child in the parent area, they can practise on their own in short 10-question rounds with instant feedback and worked solutions. Starting practice puts the device in child mode, and your parent PIN is needed to get back to the parent area. There you can see their scores by topic, mistake patterns and recent rounds.
How do mock tests work?
Sign in or create a free account, then choose your child. Maths benchmarks offer suggested durations; they are not currently timed. Supported target-school profiles are drafts, with general Maths practice available when no suitable profile exists. These are original practice questions, not official past papers or exact exam replicas.
